DStv Compact Customers to Enjoy Rugby World Cup 2019 Action
DStv’s all-encompassing Rugby World Cup broadcasts have added another layer with confirmation that Compact viewers will also be able to watch select tournament action from Japan.
While Premium subscribers can see every match live, customers of other packages will also be looked after.
Every match of Namibia and the Springboks will be re-broadcast on SuperSport 4 (Compact) in the evening after each day’s play.
For Premium viewers, match of the day repeats will be broadcast at 16:00 CAT daily. Additionally, full match repeats (including build-ups and match analysis) will be available on SS12 daily.
Highlights of all matches will be broadcast on the following evening (SS4), followed by daily highlights and magazine shows.
Additionally, Showmax will broadcast same-day highlights with RWC magazine programmes also on offer.
Among the experts analysing the action will be several major names, among them Namibia’s Jacques Burger, plus John Smit, the Ndungane brothers, Butch James, Jeremy Guscott, Scott Spedding, Nehe Milner-Skudder, Joe Rokocoko, Mandisa Williams, John Plumtree, Schalk Burger, Nick Mallett and Deon Davids.
The tournament’s opening ceremony will be broadcast on Friday, (11:30 CAT).
Saturday’s action, which opens at 05.30 CAT with Australia against Fiji followed by France against Argentina, will conclude with the much-awaited SA-New Zealand showdown, which kicks off at 11.45 CAT.
During the World Cup, several other magazine-style programmes will feature: Masterplan; Super Rugby; Midweek Maul; Phaka; First XV; In Touch; and, Banzai Japan.
