Top of the Table Clash
The top-of-the-table clash between Napoli and Juventus is the headline fixture of Round 26 in the 2018/19 Italian Serie A season, while the Roman derby is another massive game to watch out for.
DStv will be your home for all the best action from the Italian top flight.
Juventus will have the chance to extend their lead at the top of the table to 16 points (with just 12 rounds remaining) when they face Napoli at Stadio San Paolo on Sunday night. Should the Bianconeri emerge victorious – as they did when the teams met in Turin earlier in the season – it will all but seal the Scudetto for Massimiliano Allegri and his charges.
Juve come into the game on the back of a hard-fought 1-0 away win over Bologna this past weekend, with Paulo Dybala scoring the lone goal midway through the second half, while the Neapolitans were in cracking form when they racked up a 4-0 away win over Parma.
For the sake of a title challenge, neutrals and the rest of the Serie A will be hoping Carlo Ancelotti’s side can hand Juventus a first Serie A defeat of the season.
DStv and GOtv viewers will also be treated to the ‘Derby della Capitale’ between Lazio and Roma at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday night. Emotions always run high when the Roman side meet, and the stakes are pretty high this time around as both are in the hunt for a top-four finish.
Roma appear to be in solid form, having secured a fourth straight win across all competitions when they edged Frosinone 3-2 away this past weekend, while the same cannot be said for Lazio, who had suffered three successive defeats prior to a Coppa Italia clash against Milan in midweek.
On the subject of Milan, they are one of the form teams in Serie A right now and DStv and GOtv viewers can look forward to seeing them host Sassuolo. The Rossoneri are leading the race for fourth place and will back themselves to overcome a Neroverdi side which has failed to win in their last four outings.
Other games to watch out for include Internazionale (who played to a thrilling 3-3 draw with Fiorentina this past weekend) opening the round away to Cagliari on Friday night; Udinese host Bologna in a relegation six-pointer; and Atalanta will look to recover their form when they host Fiorentina at Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia in Bergamo.
