Front row seats to all La Liga games

The 2019/20 La Liga season will have its fifth round this coming weekend, 20-22 September 2019, with viewers on DStv and GOtv set to be treated to some brilliant action from Spain’s top flight.

DStv subscribers from Premium to Family will have front row seats to all La Liga games, while on GOtv, Max is the home of the Spanish league and all the best games will be available on the package, while Plus customers can tune in twice a week for selected matches.

The pick of La Liga matches this coming weekend is the battle between Sevilla and Real Madrid from Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. The Andalusia team have shown great promise under Julen Lopetegui this season and the manager will be itching to get one over Real in this clash, having been dumped by the Madrid just a couple of months into last season.

Sevilla famously defeated Real 3-0 in the teams’ last clash at the Sanchez Pizjuan (one of the results which helped hasten Lopetegui’s exit from Los Blancos), with goals from Andre Silva (two) and Wissam Ben Yedder. A repeat result would underline Sevilla’s ambition to break back into the top four and put further pressure on Real boss Zinedine Zidane.

SuperSport viewers can also look forward to champions Barcelona playing away to Granada at Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes on Saturday night. The Blaugrana have struggled away from home so far this season (losing 1-0 at Athletic Bilbao and drawing 2-2 at Osasuna), so the pressure will be on for manager Ernesto Valverde and his charges. Yet the Catalans have won their last six successive matches against El Grana.

Another key match out of La Liga on Saturday sees title hopefuls Atletico Madrid host Celta de Vigo at the Wanda Metrolpolitano Stadium. Diego Simeon’s side put in an entertaining display in their last home league match in early September, defeating Eibar 3-2 with goals from Joao Felix, Vitolo and Thomas Partey, and SuperSport viewers will hope for a similarly engrossing affair.

Spain’s top flight this weekend will also see Osasuna host Real Betis on Friday night, Samuel Chukwueze’s Villarreal tackle real Valladolid, promoted Mallorca have a tricky trip to Getafe, Valencia will host Leganes at Estadio de Mestalla, and Athletic Bilbao will target three points against Deportivo Alaves at San Mames.
